Skadden Fellow Charlie Wysong of Equip for Equality was quoted in a Chicago Sun Times article about the organization's efforts to ensure that Chicago Public Schools considers the track records of some charter schools in serving students with special needs before renewing their operating charters ("Disabilities Group to CPS: Make Sure Charter Schools Welcome Special Ed Students," March 16). Charlie said the group is "making sure CPS is doing a good job in examining these schools," adding, "If we're going to have charter schools, they have to be open to everyone."
