A letter to the editor authored by former Skadden Fellow Brooke Richie-Babbage ('04) praising New York City's new municipal identification card program was published in The New York Times ("I Heart New York IDs," Jan. 13). Without ID, the article said, "vulnerable teenagers," such as those who are homeless or leaving foster care, "are unable to secure employment or housing, obtain a bank account or even register to vote. Applause to the city for taking a concrete step toward equalizing opportunity for these young people."
