Steve Tobocman Profiled by Nonprofit Quarterly

Former Skadden Fellow Steve Tobocman (’97) was featured in a Nonprofit Quarterly article for his work as director of Global Detroit, an initiative to revitalize southeast Michigan’s economy by making the region more attractive and welcoming to immigrants, internationals, and foreign trade and investment as a means to produce jobs and regional economic growth (“Is Too Few Immigrants in Detroit a Problem?” Sept. 16). The article also discussed the grant funding made by the Knight Foundation to expand Global Detroit’s existing programs and initiate new ones, including a “Cultural Ambassadors” program connecting volunteers with immigrant professionals to make Detroit into “an immigrant-friendly city and region.”
