As reported by The New York Times, former Skadden Fellow Maya Wiley ('92) has been named by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio as his chief legal adviser ("Citing 'Inequality Crisis,' Mayor Names Top Legal Adviser and Fills 2 Other Jobs," Feb. 18). Mayor de Blasio described Maya as someone who spent a career "taking social values and putting them into action." He added, "That's exactly what we need as we face the inequality crisis crippling this city. … We need that kind of spirit here in City Hall. We need that kind of focus on the changes we have to make."
