Jennifer Chang Newell Helps Dreamers Obtain Licenses

Former Skadden Fellow Jennifer Chang Newell ('04), a senior staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union Immigrants' Rights Project, has been quoted by a number of media outlets regarding a case that she helped argue. On Dec. 18, U.S. District Court Judge David G. Campbell ruled that young immigrants who have received work permits and avoided deportation under an Obama administration program may begin applying for driver's licenses. "This is a really happy day for us and it came just in time for the holidays," Jennifer said, according to The Arizona Republic ("Judge: Arizona Dreamers Can Apply for Licenses Monday," Dec. 19).
