Nisha Agarwal to Provide Aid to Immigrants

Former Skadden Fellow Nisha Agarwal (’06), executive director of the Immigrant Justice Corps, was featured in a New York Times article about her organization’s new initiative to train 25 newly or recently graduated law students in immigration law and put them to work in local community-based organizations (“Seeking Better Legal Help for Immigrants,” Jan. 28). Nisha launched the initiative with U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Chief Judge Robert Katzmann (left), who has long sought to remedy the shortage of qualified lawyers for immigrants facing deportation.
