Former Skadden Fellow Max Weinstein (’05) was named in June 2013 by Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick to his Foreclosure Impact Task Force. According to the Massachusetts attorney general’s website, the purpose of the task force “is to ‘study ways in which the commonwealth can encourage the prevention of unnecessary vacancies following foreclosures,’ and ‘conduct a comprehensive review and evaluation of the existing mediation programs throughout the United States’ with the goal of making findings and recommendations to the Legislature.” Max has been a clinical instructor in the Predatory Lending/Consumer Protection Clinic at the WilmerHale Legal Services Center at Harvard Law School since 2008.
