Muneer Ahmad Comments on Guantanamo Military Commissions, Haitian Cholera Outbreak

Former Skadden Fellow Muneer Ahmad (’97) was quoted in a New Yorker article about the Guantanamo military commissions, which he called “a crude parody of a justice system. ... The letter criticized the United Nations for failing to acknowledge claims that it caused a cholera outbreak in Haiti. “By refusing to right its own wrong, the international body is violating the principles of international accountability and human rights that it purports to promote,” the letter said.
