Former Skadden Fellow Muneer Ahmad (’97) was quoted in a New Yorker article about the Guantanamo military commissions, which he called “a crude parody of a justice system. ... The rules changed constantly” (March 18). Muneer also co-authored a letter to the editor published in The Washington Post (“U.N. Hypocrisy in Haiti,” March 21). The letter criticized the United Nations for failing to acknowledge claims that it caused a cholera outbreak in Haiti. “By refusing to right its own wrong, the international body is violating the principles of international accountability and human rights that it purports to promote,” the letter said.
