Former Skadden Fellow Matt Nosanchuk ’91 will be honored with a Stonewall Award on Feb. 9 during a reception at the 2013 ABA Midyear Meeting in Dallas. The awards, which are being given for the first time, honor those who have been active in the LGBT rights movement. An ABA Journal article featuring the award winners outlined Matt’s work on behalf of the LGBT community, including as a Skadden Fellow at the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois, senior counselor to the assistant attorney general in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division and associate general counsel for legal counsel in the Department of Homeland Security (“The Stonewall Legacy: ABA Commission Creates an Award Commemorating a Key Moment for LGBT Rights,” Feb. 1).
