The 313 Project, a law student coalition-turned-nonprofit that former Skadden Fellow Aisa Villarosa Berg (’11) co-founded and continues to work with, has been nominated by the Home Depot Foundation to win a $25,000 service grant. Detroit’s WXYZ 7 Action News did a story about the project’s involvement in the contest, which is based on Facebook voting (“Local Non- Profit Group Needs Your Vote to Win $25,000!” Jan. 2). “Little by little, event by event, we can change this community,” Aisa said in the story. The 313 Project’s mission is to provide free legal aid, community service and educational resources in Detroit.
